Christmas Holiday – Day 9: Food from the Philippines and Tiny Baby Snuggles

We were running out of food, and needed a few things for today’s lunch, so we made another massive list and sent a few people out to restock. I am still sick so a little out for the count but at least I am already feeling a little better. With many cooks, including the boys, in the family we split our meals between the adults so no one was overburdened with cooking all the time. Today Mrs. Fruit made a sample of food from her native country. She made

Lumpia – which is like a deep fried, pork and vegetable filled egg roll

Embutido - which is like a ground pork meatloaf with egg and sausage

Nilagang Baka – which is a cabbage boiled beef soup

Panlasang Pinoy – which is like a sweet corn bread

While some were grocery shopping Mr. Rogue and his sister went in search of a ticket to ride game. They were thwarted at the first store and the second store but found a different edition at the third store they scooped up. We will not be denied.

We also got to cuddle the new baby again. Poor mommy looks a little tired but oh so happy with her precious baby boy. Glad we got to spend a little time with them.

With the game in the house, and all our company gone, and the children off to bed we could finally sit down and play all night long. Ticket to Ride baby. Love it!
