Family Road Trip - Day 14: Time to Go Home

We weren’t leaving until a little later in the morning so my parents took the kids so we could clean out the car, do any last minute packing and then stuff the car full with all our things. While I was inside arranging bags my man was outside cleaning out the car. I knew when he walked in with a large smirk on his face that something was up. He told me to guess what he found. I couldn’t guess, but he FOUND MY DIAMOND EARING I had lost last week. I thought for SURE it was a gonner, I looked everywhere. Apparently it nudged itself perfectly in a nook and my oh so perfect husband of course checked all the nooks and crannies. I am so happy!

Normally on the way home I pack the bags similarly to the flight in, so I know everything is weighed out correctly. But this time we drove in, and were flying home, so it was way more tricky. Thankfully I am a BAD ASS and just by picking up the various bags got them all around 49 pounds. Holla.

We said goodbye to my parents and then we got to the airport with plenty of time. I checked in while Mr. Rogue dropped off the car. He was gone about 20 minutes, however with all the stuff we have it took me that long to get organized. Once we get to our gate, which was empty, we took turns running my Little Cricket up and down the aisles. One of us sat with the stuff and played with my Little Rose and the other ran.

Both kids did awesome on the plane. They really are super chill kids. Thank goodness because I adore traveling and I wouldn’t be able to do nearly as much traveling as I do if my kids were crazy travelers. I couldn’t wait to get ome. My bed. The kids in their own rooms. MY BED.
