Christmas Holiday – Day 1: Flying to North Carolina

My kids are the best kids on the face of the entire planet… nay the entire universe. They both did fantastically well on our direct flight to North Carolina. Of course I worry, a mother always does, but I had no need too. We went prepared with games and distractions, and when that failed we had tons of yummy snacks and bottles, and when that failed we tried a nap, and when all else failed we busted out the phones (which is a no no in our house). However there is a rule when you are trapped with two tiny children in a tin can 30,000 feet up… anything and I mean ANYTHING goes. My Little Rose was transferred between my lap and my husbands, and when she was ready for a nap she got bundled into the moby. She slept like an angel through half the flight.

I love to travel and am SO THANKFUL that the kids are so easy going to allow me to travel.

Both Grandma and Grandpa came to pick us up. With the carseats, the stroller and all the bags we needed both cars to get us home. Grandma had dinner all set up in minutes of getting home; homemade tomato soup and salads. And then she busted out the desert. This Pumpkin Spice ice cream that was HEAVENLY. Seriously it was so good we all ended up having seconds. We are gonna have to get 6 more tubs tomorrow.
