After grocery shopping, picking the kids back up from the day care and then dropping the grocery’s at home we headed to Little Ms. Sparkle’s Kindermusic class. One hard thing about visiting and going to visit is that our kids are starting to get busy. And visiting gets in the way of our regular scheduled program. They are skipping plenty while we are here so fitting in a few things helps to keep a little balance. Besides with Little Ms. Sparkle busy in class and Ms. Pool Shark chilling inside with my Little Rose it allowed my Little Cricket and I to do something that we don’t get to do in sunny LALA land. We got to play in the rain puddles. Sure we don’t have rain boots, or a rain coat, or really any rain gear, but I had a spare change of clothes or two. We whipped off our shoes and dove into the chilly water with glee. Having children has brought me so much joy. In particular they make me slow down and appreciate all the little wonderful things all around us, like puddles in the street. I love being a mommy to this special little boy. Hurrah!

After kindermusic we headed to Phipps Conservatory. You know I lived in Pittsburgh for almost 8 years and I never visited once. Sure back then my priorities were school, work and having fun (usually salsa dancing or shooting pool). So I was super excited to finally be visiting. It took almost an hour to get there, and so I resigned myself… it was about that time… time to pump in the car. Thankfully I have a battery attachment to my pump. I can pump anywhere, anytime, even driving in the car with my bestie!

The Phipps was gorgeous. We had a long leisurely lunch at the organic award winning café first and then we were off to explore all the awesomeness this place had to offer. My Little Rose slept through a good portion of the visit, she actually is sleeping often during the day, which is resulting from her party fests all night long. At least it makes my days easier. The kids had fun running all around and exploring. We pretty much had the entire place to ourselves which was pretty awesome. Of course the hit of the whole place was the Market play area. The kids spent a good hour playing there before we had to call it a night. The sun was setting it was time to go home, make dinner, have dinner, clean the kitchen, give baths, do bedtime rituals and then pump.

As an added bonus I think Little Ms. Sparkle and my Little Cricket might be coming down with something… Please god NO… IM SO TIRED!
