Just a Little CRAZY Road Trip

I keep talking about how exhausted I am. I just had major abdominal surgery giving birth to my daughter. I have a two month old baby who is waking up around the clock. I have a very rambunctious 2 year old who needs lots of time and attention and love and my everything all day long. I have real estate I am managing. And a house to keep organized. And a billion other things that I am presently ignoring because I just need to take the 20 minutes of free time I get in a day to take a nap.

So what do I do. I plan a 2 week 1,776 mile road trip across 4 states. As my husband said a good majority of the things I feel need to get done are things that I am putting on myself. Things that I probably don’t need to be or just down right shouldn’t be doing right now with how run down I am. But I am like the little engine. I think I can, I think I can, so I know I can. I don’t want to slow down, I don’t want to stop, because I am afraid once I lose the momentum that I am driving this train with, I may NEVER get it started again.

Plus road trips are fun right. Even with two very young children. We are going to have a great time. And besides Forbes magazine just said that a person gets just as much enjoyment planning a vacation as they do on the actual trip. Mr. Rogue and I have been talking for weeks about our itinerary. And today I actually finalized our plans. So really I am just DOUBLING my enjoyment by getting this vacation booked today.

We are going to have so much fun… really… I am almost positive. Tell me I am not crazy please.
