Well Manicured & Sun Kissed

I have only had one pedicure since my Little Cricket has been born. Considering he is over 2 now shows my sad lack of free time. So today I got a babysitter and Ms. Fairy and I were off to my favorite nail salon.

Except that it was no longer there. SIGH this is what happens when you don’t go to your favorite nail salon often. So we headed to the mall, there was a nail salon in there, it was close and as an added bonus maybe we could fit in a little shopping after. After we parked and walked through the mall to the salon we found out that they are closed Mondays. SERIOUSLY UNIVERSE.

Determined, but running out of babysitting time, we ran to another nail salon down the street. At this point we just needed to get in somewhere… anywhere. But they didn’t do acrylics. And Ms. Fairy had her little heart set on acrylics.

Perseverance will prevail I kept chanting in my head.

So we got back in the car and I decided to work smarter, not harder. I called three other nail salons and finally found one, that not only was open, but that also had acrylics, and as an added bonus could fit us in and get us done before our babysitting time clock expired. HURRAH!!!!

And then I could relax. Yay for pretty, soft, perfectly manicured feet.

We got home, took a nap and then headed over to Mrs. Dancer’s condo to spend some time playing in the pool. My Little Cricket likes water however he isnt such a big fan of deep water where he cannot touch the ground. Wearing his new inner tube he clung to one of us for dear life when attempting to take him out in the pool. He wasn’t happy.

Where he did have a blast was on the steps, where there was a big metal hand rail he could hold and where he could touch solid ground. Maybe next summer we will try some swim lessons.

And then we were hungry so we headed to the Olive Garden for some overindulgence in carbs. The bread, the pasta, the dessert. Other than the debacle with the spilled milk (my fault this time) and the blaring sunlight blinding our table we had an amazing time.

Happy, happy, joy, joy! What little one doesn't like to visit the pool!
