Our Little Mother’s Day Tradition

Sadly with Mr. Rogue working so much I didn’t plead the issue to sleep in this morning. He has been working so hard he really needed the extra two hours more than I did. My Little Cricket made me a little frame in art class with the help of his teachers that was totally adorable. And Mr. Rogue had the most beautiful bouquet of mixed flowers sent to the house. LOVE IT!

Last year for Mother’s Day we spent time at the Huntington Gardens and this year I decided to do the same making our own little tradition. One of these days I will get on the ball and remember to registrar for the Mother’s Day brunch at the gardens, but that you have to do months in advance. Maybe next year I will be more prepared.

Regardless it was a perfect, sunny, awesome, LALA land kind of day and we had a great time exploring the gardens. My Little Cricket is at such an adorable age, he just loved the kids garden. And it is so much easier to manage this running child with two of us taking turns chasing after him.

We spent several hours wandering around and even managed to snap a photo in the same place as last year for comparisons sake. My how time sure does fly when you have a child, or when you get older.
