A Little Road Trip: San Diego Zoo

Ms. Pool Shark and I love to travel, but with me pregnant and with two little kids in tow traveling has to be done on a much smaller scale than we would normally like. Still when I found out Ms. Pool Shark had never been to the San Diego Zoo, one of the best zoos in the world we decided to take a little mini road trip and escape LALA land for a few days. Ms. Pool Shark was still on her scooter, and the kids didn’t last the whole day, but I think we all did really well with what we had to work with.

As always the animals at the zoo were awesome, and I even found a new little guy I had never seen before, a leaf praying mantis.

My Little Cricket is getting so big and independent, no longer content to just chill in the stroller, yet still not listening to me 100% it makes it challenging to go out and about. I am sure getting a workout from this little guy.

And then before we left we decided to let the kids play in the kids area at the park. Ms. Pool Shark found a little bird pavilion that I have never been too. I have been to this zoo a million times and was excited at a new little gem I had missed.

Of course my favorite places are the bird aviaries. This time I didn’t get a chance to go into any of them like I normally do, except the new bird pavilion we found. I go often enough, and the kids were totally done. We did manage to get to see a few other birds. I always love to photograph them.
