Rogue Baby #2: I Won the Gender Lottery

I have never been a patient person. In fact I think my lack of patience is my single largest flaw. So when the doctor told me I would have my M21 results in 10 business days I started biting my nails beginning day 1. Today however is day 10. So me being the oh so inpatient person I am I called the office the minute it opened. The poor secretary knows me, and she had obviously just walked in the door, but she put me on hold to check and see if my results had arrived over the past day.

My results were in! My baby was perfectly healthy and tested negative for all the chromosomal defects. I let out a HUGE sigh of relief. This baby, this baby was going to make it.

And then, before I had fully wrapped my head around the fact that my child was perfectly healthy, she asked me if I wanted to know the gender.

I took another deep breath, Mr. Rogue and I had discussed it, and neither of us were keen on waiting until the birth to find out the sex of our baby. So I said yes, tell me!

Folks we are having a GIRL.

I was ecstatic over the news that my baby was healthy and now I am over the moon with joy that my baby is a healthy baby girl. And then that is when I started sobbing with joy. I quickly got off the phone and texted my husband to call me. I shared the news, and he of course was tickled pink, HA!

Once I caught my breath, I grabbed my son and we did a happy dance. Then we went to the mall to finally shop the little girls section.

My arms full of pink tutu,s and pink onsies and ruffled little socks with a smile of pure rapture on my face.

What an awesome day!
