So That’s What 1350 Cookies Looks Like

The holidays are always crazy busy, I love it for sure but with a kid it is so much harder to keep up with the work behind the joy of the season. Today I hosted a cookie exchange with my biggest mom group. We had 18 moms RSVP. Usually when I host a cookie exchange each mom brings a dozen cookies for everyone coming. But that was just crazy with the amount of people we had. So I cut it down to six cookies for each mom. Still that meant that each very busy mom had to cook 9 dozen cookies for the party plus some yummy food to share at the party. I was so pleased that everyone showed up and managed to bring their cookies and food.

The logistics of the cookies and the dividing of them aside we all had so much fun. It was crowded with 18 moms and 18 kids, very very crowded. I just love the women that I have shared this journey with. Being a stay at home mom with a husband that works all the time, these friends are irreplaceable.

Once everyone left I had a pretty crazy messy house and 108 cookies to eat. All that sugar… gush.

Wow, you really got an early start on the holidays. I remember having cookie exchanges with the women at church. It was fun, and I always came home with new cookie recipes cards which we would all include in the exchange.
