My Little Crickets Birthday Crafts: Gift Bags & Mason Jars

First of all I went through several ideas for the gift bags, the first ones were super complicated individual woodland animals made into bags. They would have been super adorable, and they would have taken me forever. So then I went the complete opposite direction and I attempted to find something cute that I could just buy, throw a few things in and be done…. But I couldn’t find anything cute. Which is how I ended up in the middle ground.

A few weeks ago I found a super adorable Etsy shop called Whimsy Whimsical. I didn’t know what I was going to do with the party stuff so I just ordered a few stickers and some cards. I figured that by the time they arrived I would figure out what to do with them. And since they arrived all the way from Malaysia a few days ago I finally figured out what to do with some of the stickers.

I got plain brown paper bags, I took the sticker and cut out a colored background. I glued the sticker and the blue background onto the front of the bag and I stamped a Thank You stamp under the sticker medallion. With a bow tied around one of the handles and some paper sticking out of the top they turned out adorable. I stuffed them with some rubber ducks, bubbles, and a few finger puppets. And the best part is they only took me one night to do. Easy Peasy!

I still had quite a few stickers left and when trying to figure out what to stick them too I remembered that I had mason jars to use as glasses for the party. Originally I wanted to do a label for the mason jars that said happy birthday my Little Cricket, but it was getting close to party time and sometimes you have to cut some corners. Besides the little Whimsy Whimsical stickers were adorable. I had already paid for them. And I really didn’t know what else to do with them. BOOM. I slapped those stickers on and I tied a little twine around the neck of the glass. With a little colored striped straws that I was planning to get I thought that they came out really adorable. Now its back in the box until the party. The exercise room was getting crowded with finished party supplies. At least they were finished.
