Charlotte: Visiting Ms. Ivey through the Fog

We woke up bright and early, packed up the baby and all of our stuff into our rental car and then tried to leave the neighborhood. Except that before we left the neighborhood I had to know which way I was going, and no one looked up the directions, and since we were both tired and I was sick it lead to an argument. And that is when I pulled over to let Mr. Rogue figure it out because I just couldn’t think.

Finally we got on our way and I managed to drive for an hour before I was ready to pass out. Mr. Rogue took over and I did sleep… for two hours. That man he just gave me the best damn gift of my life. At least it felt that way in that moment.

I wish I had photos to share with you, of the beautiful drive and maybe some of my sweet sleeping sick baby. However I was so sick I took exactly two photos… TWO… all day long. Only two people! If that doesn’t tell you how sick I am nothing will. BEHOLD the two photos I took today!

We did finally make it to Mrs. Ivey’s. She got to take over taking care of the baby while I sat on the couch and tried to concentrate on the words coming out of her mouth. The fog was thick in my head. We skipped out to dinner for a bit and then Mr. Rogue and I took the baby to the hotel. I did rest for a while and then feeling like I had a tiny bit of energy I left my husband with the baby while I returned to Ms. Ivey’s house for another hour or so. We were only in town for 24 hours, I was so miserably sick and I was angry that I couldn’t really enjoy quality time with a friend that is so dear to me. I left with plans to meet in the morning for breakfast before we headed further south. Love you Linxy, thank you for taking care of me!
