Infant First Aid and CPR

Mr. Rogue and I have both have had pretty extensive lifesaving training. He was a life guard and took extensive lifesaving classes to be certified. But he took that training 18 years ago. I spent a year as a flight attendant and got tons of instruction in my training. But I had that training 14 years ago. Needless to say it was about time for both of us to take a refresher course.

I had wanted to take a refresher course with Mr. Rogue when I was pregnant but with his spine surgery and hand surgery life was a little complicated and chaotic. And just when I was beating myself up to get on top of finding a class my mommy group organized an instructor to come teach our group. It was such perfect timing. My Little Cricket had just started solids and you never know when a choking fit may occur.

One of the moms hosted at her house. Mrs. Dancer watched my Little Cricket so both Mr. Rogue and I could concentrate. I was surprised at how much has changed and I learned quite a bit. The most shocking is that they have gotten rid of mouth to mouth in adults.

After the class Mr. Rogue and I bought several first aid kits as well as Emergency ID cards to put on my Little Crickets car seat. Refreshing your life saving skills is so important; you never know when you could be needed to save a life. My only regret is that we waited so long to get recertified.

Never hurts to be prepared. You never know where or who you may be able to help.
