Getting Some Greek

This morning Ms. Ivy and I decided to head over to Los Angeles' original farmers market an outdoor market/food court attached to a super cool mall. I have been craving a Gyro and there is a fantastic little stand that I wanted it from. Its really weird, I am not pregnant anymore but the cravings are still continuing. Either they are continuing or I am now conditioned to give my body what its yearning for. Anyways today it was a Gyro, and since the place I wanted to go to was attached to the mall we decided to go for lunch and then some shopping.

Ms. Ivy doesn't share my love for Gyros, since she hates onions, doesn't like onions and is allergic to cucumbers. The Gyro would just be meat and pita. So when it came to ordering food we split off, I went to get my Greek and she went to the mexican food stand.

We met under an umbrella beneath the large trees and savored our food. Ahhhhh the wonderful Gyro hit the spot, not as good as the one I fell in love with in Greece, but pretty damn good.

I couldn't resist ordering the Baklava, just because I wanted it, not because I needed it of course. I was very disappointed and then very validated. This was a Greek place and they had crappy baklava.... mine is so much better... I WIN!!!!

I love this farmers market; it's a favorite spot of mine to grab some yummy food and just hang out. The perfect place to get lost in thought, to people watch, to bring my laptop and write. And now to bring a baby. No one gets angry at a baby crying an outdoor food court.

After lunch we headed to the mall. We were on a mission. Ms. Ivy wanted to go to Zara for some shopping and to get her most beloved go to camisole shirts. She also was looking for a lightweight bag to use to carry some things for her upcoming trip to China. I needed some new bowls, mixing bowls and serving bowls to replace the chipped ones that we have been using since our college years. Ms. Ivy found her tops in a rainbow of fantastic colors and I popped over to Sur La Table where I found the perfect bowls on sale.

Tired we headed home for the night. Without any plans and sitting home with the baby we ended up on the computer. It all started when Ms. Ivy wanted a few photos of her cat that passed away. Which lead to finding photos of all her little fur babies that I took.

Which then spiraled out of control on a photographic trip down memory lane. AH the laughs and good times we have had over our 20 year friendship.
