It’s All About Compromise

I cannot help but be a little whiney if I am being honest here. I am eight months pregnant and my husband just had spinal surgery. Neither of us are getting around that great, Mr. Rogue however is much worse off than I am. So I have to suck it up and make things happen. Up until 11 days ago, before we found out about Mr. Rogue’s neck, he has been taking care of me. Making meals and doing extra house work and most importantly taking care of all the heavy lifting. Now with both of us broken we don’t make a great combination.

I will struggle through with some things and we will get help where we can. We will just have to make modifications to make it work.

Modification #17: Mr. Rogue was having a hard time eating. His neck brace prevents him from looking down. So we found him a little platform he can eat from. Much much better! I wish all the modification could be this easy.

For now we will be a paper plates kind of house. I can see us ordering in much more in the next few weeks. And I will just have to let those dust bunnies build up and breed if I cannot find the energy to do it all. Time to let go of my idea of perfection.

Yeah yeah. Paper bowls, paper plates, plastic silver wear, plastic cups. Premade food, toss it all out!
