Nerdy Birdy: San Joaquin with Mrs. Dancer

Mrs. Dancer and I have been talking about going out on a hike for a while. Since I was cleared by my OBGYN for some moderate walking and since I am not sure how much I will be able to bird with a new baby in the house we decided today to go to San Joaquin. They have relatively flat terrain and tons of paths to create infinite amounts of distances, aka we could go on a flat short hike pretty easily and still see a bunch of birds.

It was a beautiful day but we didn’t go early like I normally do. In fact we didn’t get out to the hike until about 11 in the morning. We still got to see a nice array of birds, nothing that was too unusual and nothing I hadn’t seen before but it was still fantastically fantastic. We were outside, in the sun, walking and enjoying the birds all while sharing our love for photography.

Sure afterwards I was tired, sure I puffed out like a little pastry because I didn’t drink enough water, sure Mrs. Dancer totally freaked me out when I couldn’t get my wedding ring off and she mentioned that her mother had to get hers cut off but we had a great time. Hey getting out of the house sometimes is considered a success!

It's nice to see you get outside and enjoy the things you love. NICE bird shots too!
