Baby Brain: Like trying to get a Tiger to Sit for Tea

My nausea is getting better, almost unnoticeably better from day to day but it is getting better. I don’t know what I was thinking, maybe that once I officially got into the second trimester my nausea would be completely gone. Like a fairy wand would just magically make it disappear. However it is getting better, and since it is getting better I convinced myself, with the help of some encouraging friends to start getting out of the house. I am not approved for much exercise but I am allowed to walk for a half hour every day. I just haven’t walked, mostly because I have been feeling like a pile of poo.

So I asked Mrs. Dancer to come over and walk with me. And then I purposefully didn’t desposit some checks that needed to get to the bank today. I knew that if I left it on my own I would never get out the door. My bank was close enough to walk too; I figured it would take about a half hour and Mrs. Dancer I figured would help wrestle me out the door, pouting or not.

Of course even with these precautions I would have much rather curled up in a ball and read a book however I am proud to say that I did manage to get out, we did walk and it was beautiful.

LALA land really doesn’t have much seasons but we do have some signs if you look hard enough. It does get cold enough to change our tank tops for sweaters and sometimes you can find deciduous trees that actually change color. LALA land has a desert climate so palm trees do very well, we have a ton of them. Deciduous trees however need much more water and since we are often short of water we don’t have many around. Imagine my ecstatic happiness when the street we moved to has a long long row of deciduous trees; trees that turn glorious reds and oranges and yellows. It makes me miss Michigan falls a little less (fall has always been my favorite time of the year).

So yeah for walks. Thank you Mrs. Bubbles and Mrs. Dancer for giving me the encouragement I needed. Oh yea and yeah for fall.

I love that picture of you walking down the street with all the beautiful fall colors in the background. Where most of the country is being blanketed in white, you can enjoy a nice cool day with lots of fall colors.
