Birthday Day: The San Diego Zoo or Bust

I woke up today bright and early to my alarm ready to begin our plans for the day. Since we really couldn’t travel for my birthday, which is what I love to do, I decided to just do a day trip to San Diego and go to the zoo. We all got up, got ready, and then I started receiving the texts and emails. Mrs. Fruit, who is in the Phillipines, found out about my plans for the day and told me in no uncertain terms that I simply could not go.

Five hours in the car, eight hours of walking around the zoo in the heat and with all the hills, she said it wasn’t a good idea. Mrs. Fruit is a nurse and I trust her judgement. Put like that maybe the zoo wasn’t such a fantastic idea after all. Unsure what I wanted to do we all just went back to bed. I figured once we woke up we could figure out something else to do. But then I was just feeling like POO all day. And decided that maybe we would just all stay home and watch a marathon of ‘Law and Order – Criminal Intent’.

Mr. Rogue did do the dishes, and I got plenty of calls and cards in the mail. We even made a carrot cake because I didn’t want to leave the house at all even for dinner. In hindsight it was better we just stayed at home. Mr. Rogue was home and I was pregnant, it was the only gift I needed. I am the happiest girl in the world. Sometimes it is the sweet love and happiness of being where you were meant to be that is better than fireworks and exotic locations.

Two things REALLY made me smile today. I got a bunch of books delivered in the mail from Mrs. Faith my mother-in-law including a Cake Wrecks book full of funny photos of cake disasters AND a kick but Halloween craft book. I may leave the crafts until next year with how my energy is right now.

Also I got the BEST CARD EVER. For a while I was a little obsessed with Charlie the magical unicorn. It was a U Tube video, you can see it here. ANYWAYS they found a magical unicorn card. I don’t know how Ms. Ivey and Mrs. Dancer found it but you push the button and the unicorn talks in this zany weird magical voice. Ermigod it was awesome. I was like a little kid pressing that button all day long. Serious guys I love you so much!!!
