Round Peg, Square Hole

Today Ms. Yoga came by for a visit. The new supplements that she wants me to take based off my blood work are all here and it is time to begin to try to get my nutrition in line. Her practice believes that if you give the body what it is lacking there is less stress, less cravings and a better balance. And body… it loves balance. So I now have a new prenatal that has a B6 and a B12 that my body will be able to use easily. A COQ10 supplement, a gut bacteria (yeah gross but whatever) and an enzyme that will apparently make my pee turn green. Totally looking forward to that one. Florescent green pee in the morning is just the kind of joke I need to get me out the door on the right foot.

Ms. Yoga and I have known each other for a while, as in four years, and it is just over the past three months that we have begun to get really close. Not only is she right around the corner which is super convenient, but I find her advice so calming. I am so thankful all the work she has done with me in regards to food, the blood tests, allergies, lending me books and now supplements. I really feel like she is a positive person in my life, one who will help me to achieve my goals. She is kind of stepping in as a practical food consultant as well and constantly texts or sends sweet emails reminding me why I am on this path to a healthier lifestyle. Today I completely broke down with my frustration with food, losing weight and exercise. I feel like I am constantly fighting, and losing. She tried changing some of my words and I think it really helped.

Failure to a Misstep
Mediocre to Moderation
Diet to Giving your body the right Fuel
Fighting and struggling to Lifestyle Choice
Winning to Healthy

I can see what she is doing, she is trying to turn my absolute negatives into something less damaging. I need to make some affirmations including some of her words and try to be a little gentler with myself. We are all on a journey and I just have to have faith that this weight I am carrying will eventually be gone.

Until then, I am going to try to keep shoving this round peg into its square hole.

I hope it works well with you. I heard that coq10 is really an important supplement.
