Sunday Skinny

I have been sick for a while and it would have been so easy to keep saying I didn’t feel well enough to work out. Oh so easy to keep all the excuses coming however by Monday I was feeling a little better. I decided to try and gave myself a jail out of free card, if after 10 minutes I wanted to stop I could. Just getting on was hard enough. I was proud of myself for doing a full 30 minutes; it wasn’t fast, it wasn’t pretty and I may have almost felt a little faint but I did it. I got back on the horse. After that first day it was easier to get on Tuesday, I even managed to do an hour and ten minutes. Each day I felt better and the routine was established again.

Sadly Ms. Pool shark is still sick, she fell ill the day after I did, but I am hoping she joins me again soon in our elliptical challenge.

I am also a little annoyed by my weight. With the travel to Chicago, getting sick and not eating much, stopping working out, eating again and then starting to work out again I have been all over the place within 10 pounds of my weight. So I put the scale away in the cabinet. It was only trying to bring me down, I will take it out again next week.

So I am really proud I did almost every day. I did however have to skip today. After working out five days on the elliptical and then doing a P90X plyometrics leg jumping workout Friday night along with yesterdays hike my legs could barely stand. I did think about doing an arms workout but I just didn’t have the energy. Hopefully next week will be better.

I'm so proud of your enthusiasm and dedication! It's a hard thing to do, but you are tenacious.
