Photoshoot: Baby Fruit a Baby Obsession

In my photography quest I have focused mainly on wildlife. Sure I take photos of landscapes, flowers and anything else I find interesting but my passion lies in wildlife photography. With a new little baby nephew only a week old I took out my camera and attempted some shots. Mrs. Fruit and I attempted a shoot and ended up with an unhappy squirmy baby.

When I got home and took a look at my photos I was disappointed. I actually only ended up with two shots that were passable from that shoot. Frustrated I began my research and found a whole new world of information. OH how I love the internet. I read tips and tricks of baby photography, watched videos on You Tube of how to handle small babies and found hundreds of adorable inspiration photos.

On the second attempt we were MUCH more successful. Mrs. Fruit (my sister in law), Mrs. Faith (mom) and I all worked together and things went much more smoothly. Armed with several backgrounds, blankets, a blow dryer (to keep the baby warm) and applying the photographers tips of moving the baby I had SUCH a great time. Hope you enjoy the photos.

And then Mrs. Fruit dug out an adorable little chef outfit and we played with a few poses. These two were my favourite.

I am actually thinking about taking on a few pro-bono babies and seeing if this is something that I would be interested in doing. Mrs. Dancer has offered to come as my helper/blow dryer holder.
