A Low Key New Years Eve

Last year on New Years Eve Mr. Rogue and I went all out to a club, we fought the traffic, dodged the DUI mess and spent way to much money on overpriced drinks. We were with a ton of friends, we stood in the pressing crowd, we danced and we watched the sparkly ball drop with hundreds of other people. We had a blast that night.

We thought about going out to the desert, we thought about going to a club, and we thought about going to Mr. OC’s party. This year however we were exhausted. After having so much family in town for two weeks, after fighting colds, and being intolerably tired we just couldn’t muster up the energy to go out. So we did what we wanted to do, we did nothing. We sat at home, in our pajamas, we watched tv, we ate leftover spaghetti and we drank good wine.

Five minutes before midnight we went outside, lite our sparklers, counted down the time and gave each other a kiss. It was simple, it made us happy.

After midnight, after listening to the fireworks we went inside and watched the New York ball drop.

Cheers... Happy New Year.
