The Sunday Skinny: Week 14

So in my effort to keep the skinny in my life I have been trying various triggers to help me stay on track. One thing that I am noticing works like a charm is the ‘I am craving sweets, grab some carrots and turn on Biggest Loser’. Yup thats right you heard me, the girl who does not watch tv is now tuning into The Biggest Loser and the inspiration, the lessons the trainers give out, the positive encouragement and watching these huge people with way bigger problems that I have succeed is giving me a boost to keep on track. And you know what it is working!

I worked out every single day this week, I hardly cheated on the diet AND I lost 4.5 pounds putting me down to 181 pounds... only ONE POUND from being able to cross off weight gain round 3!

Weight Gain Round 5: 210 pounds. 20 pounds gained when I lost the baby.

Weight Gain Round 4: 190 pounds. I lost weight for the wedding and then I gained it all back plus an additional 10 pounds. The wedding gave me a date to reach for but once that day passed all my plans fell apart and the bingeing started again. BLAST IT!!!

Weight Gain Round 3: 180 pounds. When my brother passed away I started bingeing regularly to cover my emotions and gained another 30 pounds.

Weight Gain Round 2: 150 pounds. I gained 15 pounds when I tackled that large project at work and worked all those long hours for a year.

Weight Gain Round 1: 135 pounds. I gained the inevitable ‘I’m in a comfy relationship’ 10 pounds after I started dating my husband.

Start weight when I moved to California 125.

GOAL WEIGHT = 135-150 pounds

One of my favourite trainer tips was how to keep yourself motivated and finding out what your weight loss percentage is. I decided to calculate mine and I lost 18% of my weight in just 14 weeks. GO ME! I can do this.

I thought the Biggest Loser was kinda a dumb program, but that was before I watched several episodes, and you're right! The people on that show have tremendous transformations and it does encourage us that we can do it too! :)
