Ms. Dancer’s Wedding Shower: The Prep-work Part 2

Since we had done so much work the day before setting up for the shower the morning of was pretty easy. First we put out the last minute touches like setting up the tables with the china teacups, china plates and putting out the favours.

THE TABLES WERE SET UP WITH CHINA, FLOWERS AND FAVOURS

Then it was just the matter of making the food. We had on the menu three different tea sandwiches; tapenade which is an olive and goat cheese blend with spinach, egg salad and tuna salad. We were also making a pear spinach pine nut salad, a fresh fruit salad and a caprese salad. Once we got everything chopped and with four extra sets of hands to assemble sandwiches we were able to move pretty quickly.

Once the radiant bride to be arrived she even jumped in too to help with the last minute touches.

HELPING WITH THE SALAD

After all the food was made we walked it over next door and set out the signs. Ms. Dancer is wickedly amazing at calligraphy and had hand written all the food cards. They were not only beautiful but a little funky too with their play on words to fit into the mad hatter theme.

Little stamped eat me tags were scattered throughout the food and little drink me tags were tied to some of the teacups. Making a theme like this work is all in the little touches.

Deliciously gorgeous mini vanilla and chocolate cupcakes and the best red velvet lolly pop cupcake balls on a stick were provided by one of the bridesmaids...these were gorgeous, she is so talented!

Labels were present on all the food and drink options available but one of the ones I loved the most was the German Rock Sugar presented by the antique Sugar Bowl.

We finished moments before the first guests arrived. I think we may just pull this party off with a smash!
