Happy Valentine’s Day

Mr. Rogue and my two past Valentine’s Days have been problematic. In 2010 I had planned a wonderful evening at home only to realize that a child (we were babysitting) will not be planned. In 2009 both Mr. Rogue and I had a big nice fancy meal where we both got food poisoning.

This year we started our Valentine’s Eve tradition. Today he sent me beautiful flowers… he is so thoughtful.

MY BEAUTIFUL VALENTINE’S FLOWERS

I went out and bought Mr. Rogue some fancy imported beer, threw it in a basket with a card and handed it to him the second he walked in the door. You would have thought I had told him that we won a million dollars, he was SO excited with his gift. Note to self: this is the new gift Mr. Rogue will now get every year. I get a bouquet of flowers and he gets a bouquet of beer.

THAT IS ONE HAPPY MAN

Our evening was spent at home, in our pajamas, eating on the couch with our feet up and watching movies. Sometimes the quiet days, when you are at home with the one you love, are the best days ever.

That's how to keep the love alive. It's the little things, like the basket of beer to keep your man happy.
