The Galapagos Islands

Ahhhh decisions… and finally after a few months of debate Mr. Rogue and I have finally booked our vacation. Everything seemed to get in the way of this trip. First we had NO IDEA when Mr. Rogue was going to for SURE get his comp time (he gets about 6 weeks off of work for all the overtime he put in). Aggravatingly it just kept changing from November, to December to now January; that is the nature of his job (grrrrrrrr).

So once we found out WHEN we could go we could do research about WHERE we wanted to go. Without very many restrictors we set about making a list and then slowly crossing things off; Australia’s Queensland and its Great Barrier Reef is in it rainy season, Alaska is in absolute darkness all day and all night, Skiing in Whistler Canada Mr. Rogue thought would be too much work and not enough rest, the Caribbean islands would be too much rest and not enough excitement, Yellowstone national park is too cold, Egypt’s political climate is too unstable for Americans to travel which left The Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos was on both of our lists, it is warm there this time of year AND it had plenty of excitement and rest in a tropical climate. SOLD.

One month from now we will be going on a 3 night trip in Quito, Ecuador’s capital, and then a 7 night cruise throughout the Galapagos islands and taking photos in one of the greatest wildlife places on earth. We are SO EXCITED!!!!
