Traveling Home

I am so happy that my parents are close enough to where I can drive to see them. This trip although short was awesome as usual. My mother and I kick each others butts at Parchese, my father and I discuss technical aspects of photography and there is just alot of time talking and being close to my parents. It is hard with them living in an RV traveling the US. Its hard that they are not always there, that we can’t celebrate all our holidays together, that we have to rely often on phone conversations. I try to see them as often as possible but it just never feels like enough.

I am thankful however that they are going to be in the area for a few months and I am going to eat up as much time as I can with them EVEN if that means driving 5-6 hours to see them and then 5-6 hours home. Thankfully as the week’s progress they will be getting closer and closer to my house. I will be happy when I don’t have to drive as far... I am crabbing because driving alone is hard for me.

You see I like to fall asleep. A moving vehicle, car, train, airplane it doesn’t matter. Something about the purr of the engine and the motion just makes me TIRED. I have suckers, I roll down the windows, I sing but it is HARD to keep myself awake.

But I will keep traveling, again and again, until they go because I know they won’t be back for a while.

Awww, thanks for coming out so often, maybe we can meet in the middle for lunch one day?? Yeah, that's a great idea!
