My Brain May Pop

After the initial excitement of starting construction wears off there is an inevitable period of OSWHID. I sit there with my mouth hanging open and wonder “OH SHIT WHAT HAVE I DONE”. Our walls are gone



You can see through the walls now, into the closets, into the next room.



Look I am standing in the bedroom and can see into our bathroom. If you look real hard you can see the new tub, I am SO EXCITED ABOUT THAT ONE. After not having a tub for over 3 years I am currently picturing the amount of wonderful baths I will be able to take again. See there is one little glimmer of hope!



And since we enlarged the closet doors there are even patches of floor missing which will need to be fixed; my poor beautiful wooden floors.



But worst of all, the amount of dust and debris in my house is STAGGERING and my OCD I gotta keep the house clean is really starting to make me super crazy.



I am really excited to be leaving the city on Monday when I get to run away from all this mess for a short time. In preparation for leaving I have made sure to get a list of everything that will be needed. I have everything in the family room, which of course I covered a lot to protect the furniture from dust; new doors, tile, a toilet, sink, counter, faucets and trim.



I think I will bring a lot of wine with me to the desert, maybe I can blur some of the pain at seeing my wonderful little house all tore up. I just have to keep the final picture of how nice it will look in my head.
