Nerdy Birdy: Georgia - Lake Park Hike

We went walking at a nearby lake today. Just a slow rambling walk but I brought my camera anyways even though I knew I would not have a lot of time to stop and snap the roses. I did get a photo of one new bird to cross off the Nerdy Birdy List, the Eastern Phoebe, YEA!

Although you see the American Crow everywhere I particularly liked how the light was hitting this one.

Another bird I photo often is the Great Blue Heron but never up in a tree like this and then how the light kisses him is just beautiful.

On this walk I also finally got a good photo of the Tufted Titmouse, something I have been trying to do all week.

There were a TON of Red Winged Blackbirds, sometimes over 400 in a flock. Here they are flying, I really like the black red and blue minimalism of this photo.

After our walk we went to let our friends two year old feed the “ducks”. They are American Coots actually and I have never seen them run so fast in my life.
