Here’s the Skinny

My cat Picasso is TERRIBLY thin. Seriously he is the skinniest cat in the entire world. Of course I feed him, he gets more food than my other cat who is grossly fat, but that is not the purpose of this post today. Basically Picasso is a healthy cat and is just naturally built slender. I was worried he would have a complex about it but he seems perfectly fine. I wish he would share his weight loss secrets with Seurat (the fat cat).

Since I have lost my job in January I have been spending a lot more time at home, a lot more time to give to certain activities I would normally not have any time for like alphabetising our DVD collection. Seriously I have too much time on my hands, which leads me to now knowing Picasso’s exact time schedule.

Time schedule you ask, yes seriously I was just as incredulous as you but it is a fact that the cat has a time schedule. You see we have many windows in our house, those windows let in a ton of light and as the sun rises and spends the day moving across the sky Picasso follows the light from room to room. Every day it is like clockwork, a patch of sunshine will fall through a window and he is there, slowly scooting his skinny butt across the floor as the light moves and once the light from that window is gone he moves to the next room with the next patch of light. It happens every single day without fail.

I have a theory that since Picasso has zero body fat he lays in the scheduled patches of sunlight to get warm. Like a heater pad it gives his emancipated frame comfort. Or it just could be that the lazy cat is sun tanning.

Maybe the sun is acting like a sauna and melting his fat away (ha ha). I do love Pico, and remember how thin Mocha was?
