Nerdy Birdy: Joshua Tree

We are on our first leg of a two week camping vacation. We only stayed at Joshua Tree for two nights and although I saw plenty of Ravens and also startled a hawk I could never get the shot I wanted. What I did manage seeing a lot of is the Rock Wren.

I ended up with one more bird to cross off the bird list.

This is a perfect example of how a photo is not enough to correctly identify birds. Both of these birds are Rock Wrens but from the photos they look very different.
