I spent the day going through old photos in my memories box in an effort to break me out of my funk, my ‘wish I was still on a vacation with Ms. Ivey League’ funk. So I am here reminiscing about my past and looking for those that my grandmother had given me to make sure that everything is scanned maybe because of the recent death of my grandfather but I feel a very distinct pressure to make sure that the past is correctly archived and that I remember who I am and where I come from. I think too I am getting older and as I prepare to move into the next phase of my life I want to make sure that everything that can be in order is. Here are a few glimpses of memories.

My grandmother holding me, she is so happy, and we fell hopelessly in love with each other. She was one of the most wonderful people in my life and I miss her TERRIBLY!

My grandfather kissing my check. We became very close once my grandmother passed away. I miss him TERRIBLY.

Here my mother, Ms. Sweetie Pie, and I are photographed on a camping trip collecting flowers. I love that even though I was not given a sister that my cousin has been there just like one.

I am adorable and obviously just waking up and smiling, see at one point in my life I was a morning person and this photo is PROOF.

My grandmother is a powerful woman who has ploughed through so many barriers and obstacles in her life that my head spins just thinking about them.

This is one of my favourite photos of me. I had just moved to Pittsburgh and I was on a hike here. I was maybe 19 and blissfully unaware of what was to come.

Ms. Pool Shark and I drinking martinis at Smoking Joes our favourite bar hangout. And DAMN I am pale. This is what happens when you are not living in LA and use a lot of sunscreen.

Ahhhh the memories.

Even back then you were a heartbreaker, weren't you? It's crazy how, even as a baby, you looked like you! No wonder your grandparents fell in love with you and your sparkling personality. HOWEVER, I am willing to bet you are smiling in that middle photo because you just woke up from an AFTERNOON NAP, not from a restful night of sleep. :-) And as for that hiking photo, you look gorgeous. I have really happy memories of that trip. Heck, I moved to Pittsburgh, didn't I? But those SHOES? That was the pre-fetish Mrs. Rogue, that's for sure!

Really, the shoes are kinda hideous, but I love all the photos in your memory blog.
