Conversation Snippet

Mr. Rogue were cuddled up in bed discussing our day and our dreams. It is something we attempt to do every night, we just lay with my head in the nook and talk about anything and everything. Today we were talking about puppies and children and timelines and money. Our conversation went like this.
Mr. Rogue: “Would you rather have a scuba, a puppy or a baby?”

I was not sure if this was a trick question so I paused for a moment. The scuba is the floor washing machine of the rumba that we already have that I LOVE LOVE LOVE, see here. And I had been toying with the idea of getting the scuba soon we had also discussed thinking about starting a family and possibly getting a friend for Rogue.

Me: “Let me get this straight you are asking me if I would rather have a machine that is going to scrub the floors for me, a companion for our lonely dog OR a child.”

Mr. Rogue: “Yeah!”
Me: “You are completely crazy, if this is a true question then I want them ALL RIGHT NOW.”
Mr. Rogue: “Ok, let me get this straight you want a puppy, a baby, and the scuba?”

Me: “Yes.”
Mr. Rogue: “Ok build me a spreadsheet that has the costs and timelines of the things you want and then we can discuss it more.”
Me: “I am not one of your work lackeys I am NOT making a spreadsheet.”
Mr. Rogue: “I think you need to work on your communication skills.”
And then that is when I hit him.
Me: “Actually I think I need to work on my communication skills AND my temper.”
