Temporary Time Periods

I am fascinated by temporary time periods in our lives. Times where the only thing important in your world, the only thing that deserves a great majority of your attention is the period you are in.

In High School you are concerned with fitting in, your popularity, your grades, or most importantly waiting for summer to start and bliss to last for two months. In College where you let go of your parents lead strings and take flight on your own, making mistakes on a grander scale and defining who you really are. Every ounce of energy is thrown into getting through with school so you can start being an adult. After College you worry about the carrer, starting off as a grunt and working yourself to the bone so you can climb up the corporate ladder faster and faster. And now wedding planning, something that has turned my attention to a smaller scale. I am now planning a life not just for myself but WITH someone else and that is a heady feeling. Knowing that no matter what he will be there with me, standing by me, taking care of me as I take care of him. Then hopefully in the not so distant future starting the journey of having kids, ah the drama that will go on with that future adventure. I can hardly wait.
