Out of Town Baskets

Because I have so many guests coming in from out of town (almost half of the guests are) I have decided that we defiantly need out of town baskets. Basically they are something left in the hotel room to welcome them to the wedding, thank them for coming, and offer them small gifts or directions of fun things to do. I plan on doing them myself by arranging lists and giving myself a day to buy supplies and make them when I go to Michigan for the wedding week. Of course everything will need to be printed beforehand.

Although I love the look of something like this:

I am trying to keep the budget for these under $200 dollars. Instead of doing baskets I will probably end up doing gable boxes like these:

Or simple bags like these:
Ms. Ivey League is helping me organize what to put in the baskets. So far we have decided to do a Michigan theme. Here is what our bags will contain:
-Chocolate covered cherries
-Cherry wine
-Two plastic wine glasses
-Two Bottles of water
-A thank you greeting letter
-A map of the food and fun stuff to do in the area
Because I will not have time Ms. Sweetie Pie, who lives in Michigan still, is going to help with the items that will need to go in the map. Hopefully this will just be a small thanks to our guests making it out for our big day.
