For Richer or Poorer

It is difficult when you decide to marry someone based on love, I often thought the convention of arranged marriages had some benefit. Generally when people fall in love they don’t take into consideration how similar their backgrounds are, their religion and future parenting styles of how they were raised, or how they spend and treat the money that they make. Unfortunately with this last point is that most people divorce over money. Mr. Rogue and I are very fortunate that we have similar spending styles, we like nice things but we also know how to save for them instead of just whipping out a credit card. And even how seriously we have both taken care of our credit scores plays a huge role in our financial future.

I am hoping one day after we are married we will make the right choices so I am able to stay home with our children, and Mr. Rogue and I are hoping to live a frugal enough life so that Mr. Rogue can retire early. These financial discussions, going beyond just our budget for the wedding (which is an ever moving target) will hopefully lay down the road to a wonderful life together.
